What is the Church Supposed to Be?. I thought the content of the discussion was great. It was hampered by technical glitches. At times I could not hear the presenters well due to echoes and cutting out. At the beginning of the presentation the 4 presenters appeared in larger images at the center of my screen but soon after it started they returned to thumbnail sized images in the lower left corner of my screen. But as I began saying, the content and dialogue with the presenters and the comments from participants was excellent and I would participate again in the future.

Practicing Compassion in a Violent World. Joung Hee Kim Joung Hee Kim At the end of this class, as I listened to Frank's story, I noticed that I had a smile on my face with sensing the full of compassion. Yes! the sense of compassion is contagious. So, I would like to strongly invite people to read and learn Frank's Practicing Compassion in a Violent World, so that they can be saturated with the sense of compassion.

very inspiring session. In a world of bad news this was exactly what I needed. We often feel so overwhelmed by what happens around us, This session about Frank Roger's book "Practicing" compassion showed how compassion for my neighbour starts with compassion for myself,

wonderful conversation. A wonderful conversation about a challenging and important topic. I definitely plan to buy Frank's book.

Stellar. This kind of learning is desperately needed. It is practical, it sends an urgent message to us as individuals and to those in the world we live in. It made me think of real possibility for my own life and gave me hope.

re-inforced. The most meaningful piece was when Frank described the "essence" that is present in our lives, which even in the darkest night, is a compassionate, faithful healing presence. My title comes from have just read the last page of Marcus Borg's newest, and last book, and I was very moved by what he had to say about compassion.

Lively session. Frank's energy was contagious, and the three speakers interacted beautifully. I particularly appreciated Brian's reinforcement of what I think is the central innovation of the Compassion Practice: the focus it places on the 'U-turn' or the internal work that must be done - and the self-compassion realized - before genuine compassion can break through.

Inspiring Discussion. Inspiring. Would loved to have heard more real life stories about trying to implement this philosophy with (apparently) mean-spirited people. Will look for Frank's book.
